I copied an excerpt from my introduction to healing notes and thought it might make a delightful discussion topic. Have fun!


Notes on Healing
Part 1

The Holy Spirit spoke to me years ago and informed me that healing would be the area that most every believer would be tried the hardest in by the enemy. The attacks in the physical being can be a result of the warfare that is going on (or not going on) between the soul and the enemy. Our Spirit man is renewing the mind of the soul and transforming the being so that we can walk free from the schemes of the enemy. The Spirit is quickening our “mortal flesh” with life and life giving principles that are restoring longevity to God’s children.

(Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.)

This particular Scripture has often mistakenly been associated with a rapture in the end-time which causes the believer to miss the appropriate application of the Spirit’s intent. Romans 8:10 shows us the context and application of the Spirit’s mind concerning life and death: (Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.) Christ in you quickens the mortal body for His use now. The body is dead! Not will die one day, it is dead because of sin. But, the Spirit, which is your new birth is righteousness.
You were alive after the flesh once, but now since you have obeyed that leading of the Spirit’s word and have been born again by the Spirit of Christ then you are no longer in the flesh. That’s right! NO LONGER IN THE FLESH! I understand that the church has been unable to accept this reality, but if we are going to walk in “divine healing” as well as “divine health” we are going to have to accept this reality that we are SPIRIT BEINGS NOW!

If our current habitation is the flesh, then sin is our reward and sin produces sickness, disease and death. Life and death are in the power of the tongue and which ever a man eats of he will produce, or as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If we believe we are only sinners in a sinful body that are only being saved by the grace of God, then we are to expect the rewards of sinners which manifests as sickness, disease and death. Most of Christianity think along these lines and attempt to fight sickness and disease while believing they are still sinners and hoping for grace to intervene.

Romans 8:9 clues us in to the truth if we will let ourselves hear it:

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Notice that Paul’s exhortation of being “in the Spirit” does not speak of faithful Church attendance; faithful tithing; speaking in tongues; wearing certain clothing or apparel; having a certain hair style; not drinking; not smoking; not cursing; not being fat (obese); or any other of a thousand things ministers and believers try to insert as part of the curriculum in order to be “in the Spirit”. Paul clearly states that the being “in the Spirit” is applicable if and only if the Spirit of God dwells in you! That’s it. Nothing more, but just as important nothing less either.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Paul is telling us that if we will empower the Spirit of God in us to put to death or render useless and powerless the desires and deeds of the body then we will begin to taste the life that God intended for us. He was not threatening the believer, in whom there is NOW NO CONDEMNATION, that if they didn’t get things in order they’d lose their salvation and not be raptured. He was exhorting them that if they would empower the Spirit to work in them then the works and life Jesus experienced they would experience too, but if they chose not to then they would remain carnally minded even though they were Lord of all.

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Who is Abraham’s seed? CHRIST. The seed of Abraham clearly was shown to be one (Christ) and dot an ethnic race of people or all the natural descendants from Abraham. The Scripture is clear that the promise was made to Abraham and Christ!

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Abraham’s seed is CHRIST and we are all one in Christ Jesus. The Scripture doesn’t stop there, it specifically states that if “ye (you) be Christ’s, or if the Spirit of God dwell in you, then YOU ARE ABRAHAM’S SEED. Yes, that means you! Who is Abraham’s seed? CHRIST! If you then are Abraham’s seed, who does that make you? CHRIST! Not Christ the anointed Messiah Jesus, but it makes you Christ the anointed believer! Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, whether He be in you, me, Paul, Jesus, etc… That is why Jesus said that the works I do shall you do also, because it is the same Christ that dwelt in Him that would be dwelling in us!
Why is this so important? Because when we realize that we are not flesh beings, but in reality Spirit beings, the Christ, the Holy Anointed of the Lord Jesus, then we can understand how we can have authority over sin, sickness, disease, and death. Apart from the knowledge of this truth we will always struggle as to whether it is God’s will to heal and much more if He will heal through us.
If you are a true CHILD of God then God has already passed you from death unto life!
(John 5:24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
I love this, SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDEMNATION! Thank you Jesus! But, IS passed from death to life. Past Tense! It is a done deal! Also known as the “resurrection” that Jesus spoke about to mary and Martha and demonstrated through Lazarus.
(1 John 3:14) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
We can know that we have passed from death unto life, or come to the full knowledge of the resurrection, because we love God’s children. Just because someone doesn’t come to the revelation knowledge that they have passed from death into life doesn’t mean they haven’t passed, it simply means that they don’t know it. If they don’t know they “have passed from death to life” then their expectation is polluted, because they don’t know the truth and they expect to reap from the realm or habitation of death, disease, and sickness.
Christ, through Paul, willing to give us a more sure word declares to the Colossians that He (Jesus) not only delivered us from the power realm of darkness, but He has already TRANSLATED US into the Kingdom of His dear Son or more literally the Kingdom of God! There isn’t a Kingdom of Jesus, a separate Kingdom of the Father, a separate Kingdom of God, and a separate Kingdom of Heaven, etc… but rather these are all one and the same.
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

You are a Spirit, and in the Spirit you already dwell in the Kingdom of God far above sin, sickness, disease, death and the devil, etc... I know that may be hard to swallow, but meditate on these things and let the Spirit of God bring revelation to you. If these things are not true, then we are still of the flesh, in the flesh, in sickness, disease, sin, death, and the Scripture of God would have to be false because it says you are Spirit, in the Spirit, and already passed from death into life and are living in the Kingdom of God! You chose! Let every man be a liar, but let, let, let, God be true!

I think this is definitely an issue that the church has not been able to receive. Most religious people would say," If we are Spirit beings now, then why are we still here?," and that is exactly why they find it hard to receive. I mean if we are spirit, then we have to be born of His Spirit and we would have the nature and abilities of our Father. If this is so then the enemy really has no authority over us and there is no reason for the world to get worse and worse.

HELLOOOO!!!

We should be breathing life into it because we are life-giving spirits!
Another problem is that the religious system of "Churchianity" believes that the Jews and the Jewish nation are still the People of God. If they are born by His Spirit, they are His Child just like anyone else born by His Spirit. He took the Kingdom away from the natural nation of Israel and gave it to another, a nation that would produce the fruit of the Kingdom. Now, what can the natural/physical produce that would be pleasing to God? Nothing...that is why we must be born again, because by His Spirit we become a Child of the King, a citizen of the Kingdom of God, Spiritual Israel! WE ARE SPIRIT NOW!!

Hi Basilikos,

It is sad that christiandom has branded everyone that disagrees with the notion that Israel as a natural nation is God's chosen people is branded as anti-semitic. The truth is evident that Jew and gentile alike are one together in the "new nation". I find it hard to believe that ministers and Bible expositors of today refuse to see that Jesus clearly stated that the "Kingdom of God" was taken away from Israel and given to another nation that would bring forth the fruit of it.

Mat 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
Mat 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
Mat 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
Mat 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
Mat 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
Mat 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
Mat 21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
Mat 21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
Mat 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Mat 21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

I find it amazing that the "Chief priests" and the Pharisees (the representatives of the nation of Israel) understood that Jesus was speaking about them as a nation losing the inheritance of the Kingdom of God, but ministers today can't seem to see it. They understood that the Kingdom of God was to be taken away from them and given to a nation that would bring forth the fruit of it. Unfortunately church leadership today can't seem to grasp the position the Church and the believer are in today, because they keep looking for Jesus to show up and set up the Kingdom in Jerusalem. It isn't going to happen, because the Kingdom doesn't belong to them in a natural or spiritual sense. The new nation consists of all races of people on the face of the earth because in Christ they lose their individual identity and take on His!

The common teaching around Christianity is that Jesus "postponed" the Kingdom because natural Israel wasn't ready for it and He turned to the Church simply to provoke the Jews to jealousy. And that after He has all of the gentiles he wants he will rapture out the Church and reveal himself to natural Israel and then return with the Saints to set up an earthly Kingdom of God in Jerusalem. That is ridiculous! The Church (The New Nation) was the hidden wisdom of God all along with full inclusion of mankind regardless of origin.

When Daniels 70weeks of years are properly understood and permitted to be fulfilled the way God ordained them to be, then the understanding of the hidden wisdom of God becomes known.

I love the Jews! But I also love the Canadians, the Chinese, the Japanese, the Brits, etc... God made away for all. It is presumed that there are two streams of Prophecy or covenants flowing at the same time; one for Israel and one for the gentiles. This kind of thinking sets the church apart as racists; a respecter of persons; and one that pays attention to endless genealogies; etc...

Jesus gave no particular attention to the temple in Jerusalem when He was there and even told the disciples it would all be thrown down and not one stone upon another. he knew that the TRUE TEMPLE, His body, was here and the shadow of the temple (the stone buildings) were no longer needed. He said tear this temple down and in three days I will raise it up again. That was His body he was speaking of, not any stone building. He even told them that a greater than the temple was here.

Joh 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Joh 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
Joh 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
Joh 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

Mat 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
Mat 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
Mat 12:3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
Mat 12:4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
Mat 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Mat 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Mat 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Later when he had healed 10 lepers, Jesus told them to go to the TEMPLE and offer the sacrifices that are required. The 10 left heading for the stone building temple and the one received the revelation that Jesus was the temple and turned around and worshiped at Jesus' feet. Jesus didn't tell him to go to the stone building, he asked where are the others? Obviously Jesus considered His Body as the Temple of God (Outer Court/Holy Place/Most Holy Place) and not the stone building. It is no different today as we are told by Paul that are bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. There is much more I could get into on this, but I'm sure you catch the gist.

Luk 17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
Luk 17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
Luk 17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
Luk 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Luk 17:16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
Luk 17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Luk 17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Luk 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.


I guess the Nicodemus syndrome is running rampant, but thanks be to God that there are those that still hunger and thirst after truth and have determined to not sit idly by nor go quietly into the night. Let God's truth triumph forevermore.
