What are your thoughts on the USA's role?

The USA is a great country and probably the strongest and most effective worldwide that the world has ever seen. Obviously God has had a purpose for it over the last 230+ years and hopefully a role in the future. Care to speculate on your thoughts?

I don't think it was established for religious freedom by God, I believe that God utilized it as a stabilizing force in the world so that Christ could be formed. Unfortunately I believe that the government and leaders that be, whether democrat or republican, are corrupt and will not do what is right for this country or Christ. In a way it is Babylon and I believe the USA will one day down the road see her end as she is given over for her adulterous ways. I could be wrong, but only time will tell.
