Isaiah 65. I recognized the scripture verse, so I’m just turning over there. There is a plight that’s going on in the Body of Christ. There is a need for the Word of God. I’m not talking about a need for scripture, I’m talking about a need for the Word of God. And there’s no other place to get it but Him. Say, there is no other place to get it but Him. Amen! You see, even if you hear it, that alone won’t change you, except the Spirit in you move upon that which is said, and He’ll move if you permit Him to move. But you’ve got to let Him move. We can’t sit back and do the same things and expect changes. But the Lord is speaking and when the Lord is speaking it’s vitally important that we hear what the Lord is saying and I think I know where He’s going now in Isaiah 65, Halleluiah.
In Verse 13 he says “Thus saith the Lord God, behold my servant shall eat and you shall be hungry, my servant shall drink but you shall be thirsty, my servant shall rejoice but you shall be ashamed. My servant shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart and shall howl for vexation of spirit and you shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen. For the Lord God shall slay thee and call His servants by another name.” Amen! Say it with me, “Thus saith the Lord, He said He would call His servants by another name.” Amen! Now prophetically we have seen that fulfilled – that has been fulfilled. Because the name that basically had been set out and was being used over the years and throughout the generations of course was basically Israel. They were the children of Israel, the seed of Israel, etc. When they reject them God called them by another name. It wasn’t just Israel. All the world rejected Him. Amen! But what the Lord did was when He brought in the new man he established a new name and that name has been made name above all names in heaven and in earth. So it doesn’t matter what name, or race or ethnic division that we could come up with, there is no higher than the name that He has given you. Are you with me? He’s not put anybody in front of you, as a matter of fact, He’s already told us that He’s translated us out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son and what He is relaying to us, what He is communicating to us, the Spirit is speaking again, what He is communicating to us is that all that come before Jesus, all, it doesn’t matter who they are, that are not children of the Kingdom they don’t measure up to you. All of them. Jesus said there was not a greater born among women than John the Baptist. Now that includes Moses, Aaron, David, Noah, Adam – well he wasn’t born among women was he, but all the ones that you can think of back through there, Jesus said there’s not a greater born among women than John the Baptist yet he who is least in the Kingdom is greater than him. Are you with me?
Now you see, a lot of times the enemy gets us thinking, “It’s just little ole me, there’s not a whole lot going on.” But when you read through here, it’s the “little ole me’s” that He went after. It was the little ole widow who just had enough corn meal and oil to make for her and her little son. I’m sure she was probably thinking she was a “little ole me.” And sometimes the enemy would have us given to a place where we are almost having a pity party for ourselves, but I am going to tell you He would move heaven and earth. Are you with me? You see, there were probably twenty million in Israel that He could have gone to, but He didn’t and this was before Jesus came. He went to the little ole widow woman. Who was the one that got healed from leprosy? Naaman! Do you understand? There was a drought in the land and they were in dire straights and devastation and everything else. But those that were looking to Him, those that were yielding to His Spirit, those that were humbling themselves and moving after God is the one that God was moving upon. He’s no respecter of persons. He doesn’t care if you are black, white, yellow, red, or blue or whatever, it doesn’t matter. But He said “that he would call his servants by another name that he who blesses himself in the earth, shall bless himself in the God of Truth. And he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of Truth,” do you hear what he is saying, “God of Truth, because the former troubles are forgotten.” Halleluiah. That is the first thing that He said tonight prophetically when I got up here was “forget those things that are passed.” He said “the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hid from My eyes.” Amen! Here’s the thing, can we get over where we’ve been to get into where He’s taking us. The children of Israel all passed in the wilderness because they couldn’t get over where they had been. Where they had been had so reflected itself upon their nature and their character that they could not let go of it and get over what it had put upon them in their minds about who they were they couldn’t get over it to go into where God was taking them and they all died in the wilderness.
Now I’m going to tell you the body of Christ has experienced much the same thing. It doesn’t take long studying church history to see that every time God began to move there were those that copped an attitude and thought everybody else was wrong and they were the only right ones or they killed the ones that were being moved upon. Still happens. It happened up until the eighteenth, nineteenth century and I guarantee it is still happening today.
You see, God’s still speaking. He’s never stopped, never. The only thing that has happened is we have quit listening, we quit hearing. And when we quit hearing, we can’t serve because we serve the Living Word. If you don’t hear the Word, you can’t be a doer of the Word, you can’t let and permit that Word to do what it’s going to do. The whole object of us when we hear the Word, here’s the tough thing we’ve got to do - believe. Believe! Receive it, believe it and that’s it. And from that point, He’ll do the rest. The believing that what God said He’ll do will also perform activates the faith contained in the Word you received. And the Word then activated by the faith, the Spirit moves upon it to produce in you exactly what the Word is. Amen! But if you’re not listening for His Word, if you’re not listening for Him, if you’re just trying to find out something you can stand on or move on then what you get, more than likely isn’t going to produce what you really want, what His desire is for you.
Verse 17 he said “behold I create new heavens and a new earth and the former shall not be remembered nor come into mind.” Amen! Now He said that “heaven is My throne and earth is my footstool.” Amen! Say it with me - Say Heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool. He created a new heaven a new place for His throne and a new footstool, for His presence, for His feet to rest. Amen! You see we get all crazy sometimes thinking that everything is going to dissipate and that the whole earth is going to be consumed and the sun and the moon and the stars and all this stuff is going to happen – and I am going to tell you that the new heaven and the new earth is present with us today. And if I am correct in what I feel in my spirit right now He’s getting ready to say it. Amen! Halleluiah. “Behold I create new heavens and new earth and the former shall not be remembered” so He’s saying get over where we’ve been. “Forget the things that are passed nor come into mind but be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I create. For behold I create Jerusalem a rejoicing and her people a joy.” Amen! Now when he’s saying Jerusalem, your mind has to get out of the earth…get out of the earthly, sensual, devilish wisdom and realize that He said that the spiritual Jerusalem, the Jerusalem which is above is the mother of us all. In Hebrews 12 it says “for ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched” “but ye come unto mount Zion, the City of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem.” WOW! Are you with me? You see natural Jerusalem is in bondage, in captivity because it is only a physical shadow of the true spiritual. Never was it intended
