The word rapture of course is not scriptural. I believe "a" rapture is believable. Although, I don't see how the "proposed" rapture theory can be justified or verified.
I believe the theory of the futurists proposal is without doubt a d**nable heresy. Those that teach it as being true will and are being held accountable to God. Those following it are being robbed of their true heritage and inheritance up till now.
The modern end-time teachers or so called guru's of biblical prophecy are the "they" mentioned below:
1. They break God's divine time-table of Daniels 70 weeks or 490 years in order to make plausible in their mind, a latter 7 year tribulation.
2. They attribute the work of Christ to Anti-christ by refusing to accept that Jesus fulfilled the final 7 years of Daniel's divine time table in his 70 weeks or 490 years vision.
3. They post-pone the kingdom of God by their own authority in spite of the clear teachings of scripture. They misinterpret Daniel's prophecy and override Jesus' declaration and evidence, along with the apostles that followed concerning the Kingdom that has come. Why? To allow for their doctrine of a Church dispensation that puts all things on hold until Jesus comes back for the Jews and sets a natural kingdom up in Jerusalem.
4. They practice the doctrine of the Nicolaitains that Jesus hates (the conquering of the laity)
5. They rob the believers of their ministerial rights and their kingly authority
6. They refuse to go into the kingdom and try to prevent those that are from going in
7. The wicked are gathered out from among the righteous and carried away
8. They don't know who anti-christ is
9. They make null and void the prophetic fulfillment of the true temple and hold to a natural one
10. They reject the clear and distinct teachings of Jesus about the tumultuous time being experienced by the generation that Jesus was talking to, and project it into the future thousands of years!
11. They abandon God's plan and Jesus' clear teachings of no national or ethnic distinction being of any value and favor Jews over everyone else.
12. They continue to attribute the Kingdom of God to natural Israel, when Jesus explained that the Kingdom of God was taken away from them and would be given to a nation that would bring forth the fruit of it.
13. They throw out the clear teaching of a generation being 40 years and extend it to 52+ years to try and protect their eschatalogical farce.
14. They reinterpret and realign their belief to fit their need. The forming of natural Israel into a nation in 1948 in a day, was their sign that the generation seeing that would not pass until all is fulfilled (meaning Rapture, anti-christ, tribulation, mark of the beast, etc...). When this didn't occur by 1988, they began reinterpreting the starting date of the generation and reinterpreting the length of a generation. Why? To defend their false belief and protect their kingdom that they had built. They moved the beginning date from 1948 to 1967 when Israel got the West Bank and some other lands during the 6 day war (I believe that's what it was called) with Syria, Lebanon, etc... and a generation was revised to be upwards of 52 years.
In short, the 1948 year Israel became a nation in one day was the fulfillment of their belief that the rapture, anti-christ, tribulation, mark of the beast, etc... was at hand, when evidence proved that it wasn't. Instead of admitting they were wrong and seeking the "truth" they have been scrambling to cover up their lie and deception by changing dates and times just as the father of lies, the devil, has done since the beginning. Now that, is just my humble opinion. Albeit I believe I am correct and have the agreement of the Holy Spirit.
rapture = catching away
In my opinion there have been a lot of people caught away into a deception and are being held captive. The bible teaches that the wicked are caught away and that you would search for them and not find them. The Righteous shall inherit the earth and possess it forever. The angels first gather the wicked and everything that offends, not the righteous. The wicked were carried away by the flood in Noah's time and were not found again, not the righteous. The unrighteous inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed or carried off the face of this earth, not righteous Lot and his family. Sure Lot left out of Sodom and Gomorrah, but he never left planet earth. Noah inhabited the earth. Lot inhabited the earth. The Righteous are not taken out, but the wicked are. Not just my opinion. It is true.
Enough for now.
